Overview
Project Controls Manager will provide project controls advice to integrate all portfolio reporting including risk management; integration of Villa packages; produces high-level reporting identifies delays and drives recovery plans. Leads delay analysis.
Your role
Evaluate current procedures to create more efficient / cost effective management of resources in the following areas:
Procurement
Change orders
Document Control and Administrative Practices
Invoicing and Accounting
Programme Close Out
EOT / Dispute Resolution
Monitors analyses and reports on project performance using qualitative and quantitative tools.
Recommends and implements modifications to improve effectiveness and attain project milestones.
Plans coordinates and monitors activities of assigned projects to develop and implement procedures processes and systems.
Setting-up Primavera Project Management System P6 (latest version) for program management across the planning team with all stakeholders.
Supports in preparing and maintaining the master programme for the project.
Review and analyse data/schedule received from the other organisations (Designers PMCs and Contractors).
Plans and provides direction as required for the preparation of planning and scheduling control systems.
Works with other functions such as Procurement Technical Logistic relating to understand their requirement and provide direction to project control team.
Assisting in establishing / delivering formal reporting arrangements on project progress for the client and project.
Reviewing contract documents suggesting changes for planning and programming aspects and the addition of new clauses if necessary.
Arranging planning workshops/meetings to discuss and assist contractors / consultants to close their planning / project control issues.
Prepares what if scenarios for different types of project schedules to support the Client.
Review and Analyse any claims and EOT requests.
Conduct benchmarking data collection analysis for similar projects (buildings and infrastructure).
Makes recommendations for possible acceleration to the schedule.
Assist in developing the document control system and communication flow for the project.
Reviewing Schedule construction programmes received from contractors and analysing them in line with the contractual requirements.
Preparing progress presentations for the clients.
Developing weekly and monthly progress report protocols / templates for progress reporting and monitoring progress against it.
Assist in risk assessment and mitigation plans.
Monitoring design procurement and construction progress for compliance with contract requirements.
Provide effective support for the projects in KSA. Identify projects area of concerns analyse project schedule defects recommend action plans advice corrective action to the schedule paths that leads to more control and enhance project performance.
Analyse Program / Project Risks and advise the client of any schedule issues that will affect the contract completion of the projects and ensure minimization of clashes and potential delays
Assist in preparing the master programme for the projects. Incorporate / Integrate the Contractors program of works into the Master Schedule of works
Establishing formal reporting protocols / templates on projects.
Reviewing contract documents suggesting changes for planning and programming aspects and the addition of new clauses if necessary.
Reviewing construction programmes received from contractors and analysing them in line with the contractual requirements.
Analyse Contractors Delay Claims to establish the contractually justified extension of time and provide recommendation for the client approval
About you
15 years working experience with experience in the region and at least 5 years experience in UAE preferable.
Arabic Language preferred.
Advanced MS Office Suits.
Experience using Primavera P6 ACONEX & Oracle suite.
Sound knowledge of project controls practices broad knowledge of costrisk change and specific knowledge in earned value management
Extensive knowledge of best reporting practices in the areas of dashboards and KPIs.
