Accounting Associate
Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:

Process daily financial transactions including accounts payable and receivable bank reconciliations and expense reports

Assist with monthend and yearend closing procedures

Maintain and update general ledger and subledgers
-
Prepare journal entries and ensure all entries are properly recorded
-
Support audit activities and provide required documentation
-
Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records and reports
-
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
-
Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
-
Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial data
-
Perform other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager or senior staff
Qualifications:
-
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
-
13 years of experience in an accounting or finance role (internships count)

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle)

Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:

CPA candidate or plans to pursue CPA certification
-
Experience in a corporate or midsized company environment

Familiarity with tax filings and compliance processes
