Job Summary
Job Title: Mold Fabricator
Location: Dubai UAE
Role Overview
The Mold Fabricator is responsible for the fabrication assembly modification repair and maintenance of molds dies and tooling used in plastic injection molding blow molding or related manufacturing processes. The role requires high precision strong technical expertise and hands-on experience with machining fitting and finishing operations to ensure molds meet design specifications quality standards and production requirements. The Mold Fabricator works closely with design production and quality teams to support efficient and defect-free manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate assemble and fit molds dies and tooling components as per engineering drawings and specifications.
Perform precision machining operations using CNC and conventional machines such as milling turning grinding and EDM.
Interpret technical drawings CAD models and mold layouts to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
Conduct mold trials identify issues and carry out necessary modifications or adjustments.
Repair and maintain molds to ensure optimal performance durability and production efficiency.
Perform polishing bench work spotting and alignment to achieve required surface finish and tolerances.
Collaborate with design and production teams to resolve mold-related issues and improve tool performance.
Ensure adherence to quality standards safety procedures and company policies during all operations.
Maintain accurate records of mold fabrication repairs and maintenance activities.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime defects and tooling costs.
Essential Qualifications
Diploma or ITI in Tool & Die Making Mold Making Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 35 years of hands-on experience as a Mold Fabricator or Tool Maker in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in plastic injection molds or related tooling systems.
Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of mold fabrication techniques materials and machining processes.
Proficiency in CNC and conventional machine operations.
Experience with EDM wire cut surface grinding and polishing processes.
High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Good understanding of mold components cooling systems ejector mechanisms and tolerances.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Basic understanding of CAD/CAM tools is an added advantage.
