Responsibilities:
Providing legal advice on a wide range of matters depending on business need and your experience and particular interest including the following focus areas: product development distribution/market conduct regulatory compliance corporate governance operations vendor contracting privacy and marketing among other areas.
Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues related to the GHNW business.
Help to monitor interpret and report on relevant legal and regulatory developments that may impact the GHNW business.
Draft review and sometimes negotiate vendor contracts policy contracts and other legal documents.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including business leaders compliance risk management among other functions to ensure alignment and effective support for the business.
Support the Chief Counsel and the broader legal compliance and risk teams in managing risk and helping to promote high-quality sustainable growth.
Required Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in good standing in your jurisdiction.
Experience in a law firm or in-house legal department. Experience with insurance financial services or corporate law.
Outstanding analytical research written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
High level of professionalism integrity and commitment to client service.
Ability to exercise discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
Energetic and personable with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
