Job Summary

  • Team Supervision: Lead and coordinate the activities of laundry attendants to ensure efficient operation and high-quality service.
  • Laundry Operations: Oversee the entire laundry process including sorting washing drying ironing and folding ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of all laundry equipment reporting any maintenance issues to the engineering team for timely repair.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular checks to ensure linens uniforms and guest laundry meet company quality standards before distribution.
  • Inventory & Stock Control: Monitor and manage stock levels of detergents chemicals and laundry supplies ensuring proper storage and usage.
  • Guest & Internal Services: Coordinate guest laundry dry cleaning and pressing services ensuring timely delivery and handling of special requests.
  • Sustainability & Waste Management: Implement eco-friendly practices by optimizing water and energy consumption reducing chemical waste and promoting sustainable cleaning solutions.
  • Safety & Hygiene Compliance: Ensure all laundry processes comply with hygiene safety and infection control standards including the proper handling of soiled and contaminated linens.
  • Training & Development: Provide training to laundry attendants on best practices machine operation safety protocols and guest service excellence.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the housekeeping uniform and linen departments to ensure smooth operations and timely linen distribution.
  • Report & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of laundry operations including equipment maintenance logs inventory levels and performance reports.

Qualifications :

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or certification in hospitality or textile management is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a hotel or commercial laundry operation with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of laundry chemicals fabric care and machine operation.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Ability to lead train and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to maintain high cleanliness hygiene and quality standards.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with multiple departments.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to quickly address and resolve operational challenges while maintaining service excellence.

Align with the hotels broader ESG (Environmental Social and Governance) and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) objectives to drive a positive impact across all pillars of sustainability.

Compliance and Standards: Ensure full compliance with local legal requirements international standards health and safety regulations company policies ISO standards and industry best practices. Continuously review and update operational processes to ensure alignment with evolving legal and regulatory requirements.

Food Safety & Hygiene: Ensure full compliance with hygiene and sanitation regulations by overseeing proper handling washing and storage of linens and uniforms.
