About the Client

Our client is a leading contracting organization headquartered in Abu Dhabi delivering large-scale civil and infrastructure projects across the UAE. Operating under a global holding structure the company is recognized for its financial discipline transparency and strong project governance.

Role Overview

The role is to lead the estimation function ensuring accurate cost assessments competitive bids and strategic pricing for projects. This role requires a detail-oriented leader who can leverage advanced estimation tools and market insights to drive profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Analyze project specifications and drawings for accurate pricing.
• Develop estimation strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage and mentor the estimation team.
• Implement digital estimation tools and best practices.
• Liaise with procurement and project teams for cost optimization.
• Conduct risk analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities during the bidding process.
• Ensure compliance with company policies contractual obligations and UAE regulations.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns cash flow forecasts and value engineering proposals.
• Monitor market trends material prices and labor rates to maintain competitive advantage.
• Lead negotiations with clients and subcontractors during tender finalization.
• Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on estimation performance and bid success rates.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• Professional certification (MRICS or equivalent) preferred.
• 15 years of experience in estimation within construction.
• Strong knowledge of market rates materials and labor costs.
• Proficiency in estimation software and MS Excel.
• Familiarity with digital estimation tools and BIM integration.
• Experience in pre-contract and post-contract cost control.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
