ob Summary
The Plumbing Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating all plumbing and drainage installation activities on site. The role involves managing technicians ensuring quality and safety compliance coordinating with engineers and contractors and supporting testing and commissioning of plumbing systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervision & Execution
Supervise day-to-day plumbing and drainage installation works.
Oversee installation of water supply lines drainage systems sanitary fixtures pumps valves and water heaters.
Allocate daily tasks to plumbers/technicians and monitor their performance.
Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings specifications and method statements.
2. Coordination
Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers Main Contractors and other MEP trades.
Attend site coordination meetings and address site-related issues.
Liaise with consultants during inspections and assist in approvals.
3. Quality Assurance
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship meets project standards.
Ensure all materials used are approved and comply with project requirements.
Identify defects leaks or installation issues and implement corrective actions.
4. Safety Compliance
Ensure plumbing activities follow site safety rules and permit-to-work systems.
Conduct toolbox talks and ensure technicians follow safe working practices.
Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately.
5. Material & Tools Management
Check delivered materials for compliance with approved specifications.
Coordinate with procurement/store for timely availability of materials.
Ensure proper usage and maintenance of tools and equipment.
6. Testing & Commissioning Support
7. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily progress reports and manpower records.
Assist with preparation of WIRs/MIRs.
Update red-line/as-built markings as required.
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma/ITI in Mechanical/Plumbing or equivalent.
8-10 years of experience in plumbing and drainage supervision in MEP projects.
Strong knowledge of potable water systems drainage sewage and pump systems.
Ability to read and interpret plumbing and drainage drawings.
Good communication leadership and coordination skills.
