Job Summary (List Format) MS SQL & Oracle Database Administrator (Senior Level)
- Manage monitor and optimize production and disaster recovery (DR) MS SQL and Oracle database environments.
- Perform installation configuration patching upgrades and troubleshooting for MS SQL Server (Standard & Enterprise editions) and Oracle databases.
- Implement and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies including physical/logical backups RMAN Flashback Data Guard and log shipping.
- Monitor database capacity performance and system utilization; implement enhancements as needed.
- Manage and support ASM RAC and cluster technologies on Windows Server platforms.
- Conduct database refreshes user administration tablespace resizing storage management index rebuilding and housekeeping tasks.
- Provide technical escalation and incident support in line with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Coordinate with internal teams for planned maintenance system changes and reporting requirements.
- Ensure high database availability and participate in a 24/7 standby/on-call support rotation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders in a live production environment including emergency escalation handling.
- Utilize advanced troubleshooting and optimization skills for database performance replication and cluster issues.
- Develop and maintain operational monitoring and reporting scripts for both Linux and Windows environments.
