The Remote and Autonomous Technical Superintendent makes sure people and systems work together smoothly across the Remote Operations Centre and Autonomous Technologies. Youll coordinate teams plans and vendors so technical requirements are clear work is owned and problems get solved. Scope includes connectivity IT infrastructure and communications that keep remote and autonomous operations running reliably and securely.
Key Responsibilities:
Set and coordinate the technical plan with the ROC Autonomous Operations HSE Commercial and clients.
Be the main technical point of contact for progress risks and decisions.
Act as the regional ROC technical authority and principal point of contact for IT Network Specialists Technical Analysts and Technical Support Specialists.
Collaborate with the Global Team for the regional rollout of secure reliable networks for remote and autonomous technologies.
Translate operational needs into specific technical requirements and acceptance criteria and monitor progress and responsibility throughout the process.
Ensure coordinated response to connectivity and system issues to reduce downtime.
Establish performance standards and implement ongoing monitoring and periodic reviews to proactively mitigate potential issues.
Provide technical oversight and supervisory control of all Remote and Autonomous expansion projects ensuring vendor performance and service levels meet expectations. Maintain strict adherence to approved budgets and timelines.
Share concise updates with technical and non-technical stakeholders including clients and leadership.
Keep current on relevant technology and cybersecurity to guide practical choices.
Ensure the effective deployment and ongoing adherence to the technical standardisation processes established by the Global ROC Committee across all applicable operations.
Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
What Skills and Experience Will You Have
Bachelors or masters degree in science Engineering Electronics Information Technology or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of overall experience including at least 2 years in a leadership role with a strong background in managing technical projects through all stages of the project lifecycle.
Proven experience leading project teams and delivering multi-stakeholder technical projects or programs.
Knowledge of network architectures data communication and IT infrastructure relevant to remote and autonomous operations.
Awareness of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
Familiarity with remote operation technologies and autonomous systems is highly desirable.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Strong communicator who can explain technical topics simply and build alignment across teams and vendors.
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technologies and operational needs.
