Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Commi 2 Baker to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a Commi 2 Baker you will play a crucial role in our kitchen assisting senior bakers in creating a wide range of high-quality baked goods while honing your skills and contributing to our culinary excellence.
- Assist in preparing and baking various types of bread pastries and desserts according to recipes and quality standards
- Measure and weigh ingredients accurately ensuring consistency in all baked products
- Operate and maintain baking equipment including ovens mixers and other kitchen tools
- Monitor baking processes and adjust temperatures or baking times as needed
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to meet production schedules and deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation of baking ingredients and supplies
- Support senior bakers in developing new recipes and improving existing ones
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
Qualifications :
- 1-2 years of experience in a professional bakery or kitchen setting
- Food safety certification (required)
- Culinary diploma or certificate with a focus on baking (preferred)
- Proficiency in various baking techniques including bread pastries and desserts
- Skilled in using baking equipment and following recipes accurately
- Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to multitask
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
- Knowledge of ingredient properties and their interactions in baking
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
