Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our construction management team you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of on-site engineering activities for large-scale construction projects.
- Lead and coordinate on-site engineering activities ensuring adherence to project specifications quality standards and safety regulations
- Collaborate with project managers contractors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project timelines
- Review and approve construction methodologies work plans and technical submittals
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with design specifications and local building codes
- Manage and mentor junior engineers and technical staff on-site
- Prepare and present detailed progress reports identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies
- Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals
- Implement and maintain robust safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Analyze and optimize construction processes to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Oversee contract management and ensure compliance with project agreements
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Resident Engineer with a focus on large-scale buildings projects with minimum 15 years overall experience.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies quality control processes and safety regulations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- In-depth understanding of the construction industry and local building codes in Dubai UAE
- Familiarity with UAE construction standards and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong leadership and communication abilities with experience in managing and mentoring teams
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements
- Knowledge of contract management and oversight practices
- Experience in coordinating with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
