Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Demi Chef specializing in Arabic cuisine to join our culinary team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a Demi Chef in our Arabic kitchen you will play a crucial role in creating authentic and delicious Arabic dishes while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Prepare and cook a variety of Arabic dishes ensuring consistency and adherence to traditional recipes and techniques
- Assist the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations and menu planning
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely food preparation
- Contribute to menu development and recipe refinement
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in Arabic cooking techniques and practices
- Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and prepared foods
- Adapt to changing priorities and handle high-pressure situations effectively
Qualifications :
- Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a professional kitchen with a focus on Arabic cuisine
- Profound knowledge of Arabic cooking techniques ingredients and flavor profiles
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in operating kitchen equipment
- Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene practices with HACCP certification preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
Additional Information :
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the same or similar role
- Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Fluency in English additional languages are a plus
