Maintains the transient rooms inventory for the hotel(s) and responsible for maximizing transient revenue. The Revenue Manager releases group rooms back into general inventory and ensures clean booking windows for customers. The position recommends pricing and positioning of cluster addition the position oversees the inventory management system to verify appropriateness of agreed upon selling strategies.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Business / Finance / Hospitality Management (Masters is an advantage)
- 37 years of Revenue Management Experience (Multi-Property / Cluster Preferred)
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Revenue Strategy & Optimization
- Develop and execute pricing strategies across all segments (Transient Corporate Government Groups Leisure Wholesale Meetings & Events).
- Optimize distribution channels ( GDS OTA Direct B2B Tour Operators).
- Conduct daily/weekly performance reviews to adjust rate strategies based on pace pick-up and market shifts.
- Lead the Business Mix Optimization to maximize RevPAR and profit contribution.
Forecasting & Budgeting
- Produce accurate daily weekly monthly and annual forecasts by segment.
- Lead annual budget and long-range planning for Rooms revenue.
- Identify demand patterns and recommend strategic compressions stay controls and yield restrictions.
Market & Competitive Analysis
- Analyze STR comp-set performance (MPI ARI RGI) market trends demand generators and city-wide event impacts.
- Conduct pricing audits and oversee rate parity across distribution channels.
- Monitor future demand through pace reports and forward-looking analytics tools.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Partner closely with Sales Marketing Reservations Front Office Finance and Operations to drive total revenue decisions.
- Lead weekly Revenue Strategy Meetings and produce clear strategic guidance for commercial teams.
- Coach and develop junior revenue team members and support cross-cluster knowledge sharing.
Systems & Tools
- Expert in RMS (e.g. IDeaS / OneYield / Duetto) PMS (Opera) CRS (MARSHA) GDS and channel managers.
- Ensure system configuration rate loading and room-type mapping accuracy.
