HSE Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our organizations HSE standards ensuring compliance with local and international regulations and fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

• Develop implement and maintain HSE policies procedures and programs to ensure compliance with UAE and international standards
• Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
• Investigate incidents accidents and near-misses preparing detailed reports and implementing preventive measures
• Design and deliver HSE training programs to employees at all levels of the organization
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE initiatives using data analysis to drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate with management to integrate HSE considerations into all aspects of business operations
• Ensure compliance with local UAE HSE laws and regulations as well as international standards
• Manage and maintain HSE documentation including permits certifications and regulatory filings
• Serve as the primary point of contact for HSE matters with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders
• Stay up-to-date with emerging HSE trends technologies and best practices incorporating them into organizational strategies

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Science or a related field
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in HSE roles preferably in a similar industry
• Relevant HSE certifications 
• In-depth knowledge of UAE HSE laws and regulations as well as international HSE standards 
• Proven experience in risk assessment incident investigation and safety management systems
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights
• Proficiency in HSE software and data analysis tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver engaging HSE training programs
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
• Willingness to work in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates and adapt to local cultural considerations
