Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a Resident Engineer specializing in infrastructure for private developers you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing complex infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of infrastructure projects ensuring adherence to design specifications quality standards and local regulations
- Collaborate with private developers contractors and other stakeholders to coordinate project activities and resolve technical issues
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress quality and safety compliance
- Review and approve technical submittals change orders and payment applications
- Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation including daily reports progress updates and technical correspondence
- Analyze project data and provide recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving measures
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in Dubai
- Manage project schedules budgets and resources to meet established milestones and deadlines
- Coordinate with various engineering disciplines to resolve design conflicts and optimize project outcomes
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in infrastructure engineering with a focus on private development projects
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies quality control and safety practices
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software
- Experience with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent technical report writing and communication skills
- In-depth understanding of local building codes and regulations in Dubai
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multicultural environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to project sites as needed
