Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and efficient Kitchen Technician to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a Kitchen Technician you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing kitchen equipment to ensure smooth operations in our commercial kitchen facilities.
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on various kitchen equipment including ovens refrigerators dishwashers and food processors
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with kitchen appliances and systems
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems and prevent equipment breakdowns
- Install new kitchen equipment and ensure proper setup and calibration
- Implement and maintain safety protocols in the kitchen area
- Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies for kitchen equipment
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and management to minimize disruptions during maintenance and repair work
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities repairs and equipment status
- Stay updated on the latest kitchen equipment technologies and maintenance techniques
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime in kitchen operations
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen equipment maintenance or a related field
- Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and appliances
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various kitchen systems
- Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems
- Familiarity with food service industry standards and regulations
- Valid food safety certification (e.g. ServSafe)
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a fast-paced environment
- Vocational training in kitchen equipment maintenance is preferred
- Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed
