- Ensures all work follows safe work practices and procedures
- Responds immediately to all work requests which concern Health and Safety
- Responds to guest requests promptly in a professional and courteous manner
- Operates maintains and repairs all audio visual lighting and related equipment
- Ensures the optimum performance of all A/V and lighting related equipment by effectively following the preventive maintenance routine
- Evaluates and appropriately responds to equipment usage and energy efficiency
- Completes all work orders with due diligence
- Maintains a daily log book highlighting problems and solutions; and activities
- Maintain A/V and lighting shop drawings and files
- Maintain equipment catalogue and tagging directories
- Completes tasks as assigned by AV Supervisor / Shift Supervisor
- Maintains health and safety documentation and records for the assigned area
- Reports and documents potential safety hazards
- Participates as directed in the emergency response team
Qualifications :
- Good command of English both written and verbal.
- Experience and knowledge of modern hotel rooms facilities equipment and setups.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Customeroriented with a professional demeanour.
- Secondary School Technical College or equal.
- Diploma or degree in AudioVisual Technology Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in operating and maintaining various AV equipment including projectors sound systems and lighting controls.
- Experience in managing and scheduling AV teams for events and daily operations.
- Proficiency in using AV control systems and software.
- Knowledge of current AV technologies and industry trends.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings weekends and holidays.
- Physical ability to lift and carry equipment up to 25 kg.
