Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chargehand Electrical to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a Chargehand you will lead and supervise a team of electricians ensuring the efficient and safe completion of electrical projects in various construction and maintenance settings.
- Oversee and coordinate electrical installation maintenance and repair work
- Interpret blueprints schematics and electrical drawings to plan and execute projects
- Assign tasks to team members and monitor their performance
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct quality checks on completed work and troubleshoot complex electrical issues
- Manage inventory of electrical supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with other trades and project managers to meet project deadlines
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior electricians
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation including work orders and progress reports
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
Qualifications :
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical work with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education is preferred
- Valid electrical certification or license
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems codes and industry standards
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent problemsolving abilities and attention to detail
- Effective leadership and team management experience
- Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficiency in using relevant software for project management and documentation
- Safety certifications (e.g. OSHA) are highly desirable
- Familiarity with local electrical codes and regulations in the UAE
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions and handle physical demands of the job
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends when required
