We are looking for an experienced Marine Consultant to join our team. In this role you will plan and execute oceanographic field surveys manage specialized equipment and perform advanced hydrodynamic modeling. You will play a key role in delivering accurate data and insights that support environmental assessments marine operations and engineering projects.
- Plan and conduct oceanographic field surveys and studies.
- Deploy and retrieve oceanographic equipment such as ADCPs wave buoys tide gauges and water samplers.
- Perform equipment calibration maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Process data quality-control and analyze survey data.
- Develop and calibrate hydrodynamic models (e.g. Delft3D MIKE21/3 TELEMAC).
- Conduct sediment transport water quality or oil spill dispersion modelling as required.
- Interpret oceanographic data (from surveys or remote sensing) for model input and validation.
- Collaborate with marine modelers and engineers for integrated reporting.
- Prepare technical reports field notes and contribute to EIA and monitoring deliverables.
Qualifications :
- Masters Degree in Science Oceanography Instrumentation Engineering or related discipline with minimum 5 years experience in relevant survey and studies and marine modelling tools.
- Well versed with the application of software and equipment deployments.
- Proficiency in data processing software.
- Strong collaboration skills; ability to facilitate service team approach to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work in offshore and participate in multi-day marine operation.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effective time management skills.
