We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to support the design and engineering activities for an ADNOC Onshore project. The candidate will be responsible for developing detailed electrical design packages in compliance with ADNOC specifications and international standards. The role demands strong technical acumen experience in oil & gas projects and proficiency with relevant electrical design tools and software.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and produce detailed electrical design deliverables including single-line diagrams load lists cable routing layouts grounding lighting and power layouts.
- Collaborate with engineers to create construction drawings schematics and wiring diagrams as per ADNOC standards.
- Ensure electrical designs comply with ADNOC specifications local regulations and international codes (IEC NEC IEEE).
- Prepare material take-offs bills of materials and support procurement activities with technical inputs.
- Perform cable sizing and voltage drop calculations.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (instrumentation civil mechanical) to ensure integrated design.
- Support construction and commissioning teams with design clarifications and field engineering as required.
- Participate in model reviews design reviews and HAZOP/HAZID sessions.
- Ensure all designs are aligned with ADNOCs HSE requirements and project-specific safety standards.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in electrical design within oil & gas or petrochemical industries preferably with ADNOC or other Middle Eastern clients.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD MicroStation and electrical design tools (ETAP Dialux SmartPlant Electrical is a plus).
- Solid understanding of electrical systems used in onshore oil & gas facilities including substations MCCs UPS systems and lighting systems.
- Familiarity with ADNOC specifications and standards is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs SLDs and vendor documentation.
- Effective communication and coordination skills within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Willingness to work in project-based roles with potential site visits when required.
