Our Veterinary Clinic client is a compassionate and progressive animal care facility that focuses on the wellbeing of small animals and exotic pets. We cater primarily for dogs and cats but are also experienced in caring for birds rodents reptiles and other uncommon companion animals. We are seeking a reliable compassionate and detailoriented Animal Handler & Cleaner to join our dedicated team in DubaiUAE. This dualrole position is vital to maintaining a clean safe and stressfree environment for both animals and staff. You will be responsible for the gentle handling and restraint of animals during exams and procedures as well as ensuring cleanliness and hygiene throughout the clinic.
Safely restrain animals during examinations treatments and grooming.
Assist veterinarians and veterinary nurses with procedures and diagnostics.
Monitor animals for signs of distress illness or abnormal behavior.
Handle animals of various temperaments sizes and species including exotics.
Assist with feeding walking and basic enrichment of inpatients.
Support intake and discharge processes for clients and their pets.
Clean and disinfect cages kennels treatment areas and exam rooms.
Maintain cleanliness of waiting areas restrooms and staff areas.
Perform laundry duties including washing and folding bedding and towels.
Ensure proper waste disposal including clinical and biohazardous materials.
Replenish clinic supplies such as paper towels disinfectants and gloves.
Maintain cleanliness of animal equipment including leashes food bowls etc.
Prior experience handling animals in a veterinary shelter or kennel environment (preferred).
Comfortable working with a variety of animals including exotics.
Strong understanding of animal behavior and basic care practices.
Physically fit: ability to lift animals up to 25 kg (approx. 55 lbs).
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to strict cleaning protocols.
Excellent observational and communication skills.
Compassionate patient and calm under pressure.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Tetanus vaccination up to date (or willingness to update).
Willingness to undergo a background check.
Flexibility to work occasional weekends or holidays if required.
Work with a passionate and experienced veterinary team.
Handson experience with a wide variety of animals including exotics.
