Job Description

The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans to position the hotel as a leading luxury destination. This role oversees all branding digital PR and promotional activities to drive revenue enhance brand presence and ensure alignment with the standards of a luxury hospitality brand.

What will I be doing

As a Director of Marketing you will play an essential role in developing and implementing the annual public relations and marketing plan driving key objectives current initiatives and leading relevant activities relating to the hotel. The role will be responsible for directing the hotels public relations and marketing team driving results and ensuring the department performs as an integral role in bringing together all function areas to ensure commercial targets are achieved. Specifically you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Lead and direct the overall hotel PR and marketing function serving as the central point of alignment for regional marketing communications revenue management sales finance hotel operations F&B and eCommerce.
  • Develop and implement in collaboration with operative and commercial departments an annual bespoke marketing and PR plan by segment ensuring alignment with budget targets to meet revenue objectives.
  • Ensure effective PR and marketing strategies are in place emphasizing brand awareness media relations and responsiveness to evolving market trends.
  • Develop and execute the annual marketing plan aligning with overall business objectives and luxury brand positioning.
  • Identify target market segments including leisure travelers corporate clients and highnetworth individuals to drive highvalue bookings.
  • Oversee the creation of compelling marketing campaigns including digital print social media and PR initiatives to effectively communicate the hotels unique offerings.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Revenue Management and Operations teams to optimize marketing efforts and ensure consistent brand messaging.
  • Responsible for departmental budgets ensuring cost control and operational effectiveness while maintaining highquality standards.
  • Analyze market trends competitive landscape and guest feedback to refine marketing strategies and enhance guest experiences.
  • Lead the execution of brand partnerships sponsorships and influencer collaborations to elevate the hotels market presence.
  • Drive all brand media and customer partnerships to maximize revenuegenerating and nonrevenuegenerating opportunities.
  • Direct the content creation process ensuring that all marketing collateral aligns with luxury brand standards and engages the target audience.
  • Develop and manage the hotels digital marketing strategy including website optimization SEO and targeted email campaigns.
  • Lead market research initiatives to identify emerging trends guest preferences and new marketing opportunities.
  • Manage the hotels social media presence ensuring content is visually compelling onbrand and effectively engages the target audience.
  • Cultivate a strong network with local media ensuring regular and strategic media outreach to enhance brand visibility.
  • Monitor marketing performance metrics providing regular reports to senior leadership on campaign effectiveness and ROI.
  • Oversee the production of marketing materials including brochures digital content promotional videos and branded merchandise.
  • Implement strategies to drive direct bookings through targeted marketing initiatives reducing dependency on thirdparty channels.
  • Lead mentor and develop the Marketing team through strong leadership active participation in hiring and supporting their growth and success.
  • Ensure all marketing communications align with luxury service standards reinforcing the hotels brand image and guest experience.

A Director of Marketing serving Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts brand is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role you should maintain the attitude behaviors skills and values that follow:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications Public Relations Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 57 years of progressive marketing and communications experience in the luxury hospitality sector with a proven track record of strategic brand positioning and PR management.
  • Proven experience in leading integrated marketing and communications strategies including PR campaigns brand management and digital marketing initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in luxury brand positioning storytelling and effective communication of brand values across all marketing channels.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management cost control and achieving marketing ROI.
  • Excellent communication presentation and negotiation skills with a strong clientcentric approach.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team fostering creativity accountability and excellence.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data analyze market trends and implement strategic marketing plans.
  • Established network of media contacts with a demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships that drive brand visibility and positive media exposure.
  • Expertise in digital marketing platforms CRM systems PR management tools and data analytics to effectively measure marketing impact.
  • A proactive resultsdriven mindset with exceptional problemsolving abilities.
  • Impeccable professionalism attention to detail and a passion for luxury hospitality.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
