- Incumbents typically have programmatic responsibility in one or more functional areas such as outreach, recruitment and retention, school relations, financial aid, housing, placement, learning skills counseling, admissions, disabled student needs andcentralized aspects of student advising.
- Student Services Specialistprovides administrative support and coordination in a specific student service, such as admissions, registrar, financial aid, housing or similar student-related function.
- Being a Student Services Specialist typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
