Laboratory Technician

Our client, a large medical facility, is currently looking for Laboratory Technician, to based in Dubai. For this role, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Perform routine technical tasks and experiments in laboratories to support scientific investigations.
• Setting up, testing, adjusting, calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment and apparatus
• Recording, analysing and writing reports, reviews and summaries on the findings of experiments and trials
• Collecting and preparing samples, solutions, cultures and specimens and ensuring safe disposals of waste
• Keeping up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments
• Receiving, labeling and analyzing samples (blood, toxic, tissue etc.)
• Conducting experiments under defined conditions to verify/reject various types of hypotheses using refined scientific methods
• Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility
• Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment

Requirements

To be considered, you need to meet the following requirements:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific field preferred
• With valid license from home country
• Eligible to work in Dubai; having DHA license
• Minimum of 2 years’ post-registration experience as Laboratory Technician of Technologist required
• Willing to work in Dubai
• Willing to work for 48 hours per week
• Willing to do on-calls / Overtime / Night shifts, if highly needed
