UX Designer

User Experience Designer will be responsible to create complete UX & Design solutions for Digital initiatives (Websites, Web applications, eCommerce, and Mobile Apps)

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on designer but will also need to be comfortable in presenting technical concepts and designs to senior leaders in the group. He/she will take initiative in solving complex design problems, have an obsession for developing new approaches to complex design problems and the enhancement of customer experiences design approaches to new project requirements.

Description of the Accountability

Performance Indicators (How accountability is measured)

Conveys importance of design processes and strategy to non-designers

.

Communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, and screen designs to stakeholders

.

Conduct standard UX workshops; Research, Interviews, Card sorting, AB testing, Design Thinking, etc.

.

Able to apply accessibility guidelines, performance-friendly design, responsiveness guidelines, Arabic- friendly etc. in their designs

.

Develop and maintain design wireframes & mock-ups/prototypes for illustration purpose

.

User flows, mental models, journey maps, personas, etc.

.

Work collaboratively in diverse, cross-departmental teams and collaborate effectively with all stakeholders; PMs, developers, Analysts, and business users

.

Ideating/brainstorming on solutions to identify problems and user goals

.

Give and solicit feedback/guidance from other designers to continually raise the bar for design quality

.

Help lead improvements to process and relationships beyond scope of individual work

.

Effective alignment of design to business requirements

.

Effective presentation and justification of designs

.

Providing end to end design solutions for the business case

.

Effectively support the development/business team in understanding the design behaviours

.

Effective coordination with development team to understand feasibility of backend capabilities or feasibility of design against time constraints

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job-Specific Skills:

.

6-8 years of experience with digital UX & Design (combinations of websites, web applications, e-commerce, mobile application)

.

Excellent knowledge and experience with prototyping and design tools: Illustrator, Photoshop, XD, Figma, Invision

.

Strong creative, analytical and problem-solving skills.

.

Strong portfolio of work that demonstrates the thought process behind every design decision

.

Effective in communicating conceptual ideas, detailed designs, and design rationale both verbally and visually

.

Design-process oriented, thinks about design in a strategic way

.

Be able to communicate a strong point of view, backed up by customer insights, design principles, and industry trends

.

Utilize design thinking methodologies like deep customer empathy and rapid prototyping to arrive at creative, intuitive end-to-end experiences

.

Experience in applying user research, user needs validation and usability evaluation

.

Ability to understand complex project details and be able to communicate them simply to others

.

Extensive experience of designing responsive websites

Experience in a dynamic, iterative & agile development environment along with multi-disciplinary teams
