Role: Production Support Engineer
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Location: RemoteIndia
About this role:
The role delivers information technology solutions to fulfill business and functional requirements. Responsible for the conversion of business requirements to technical specifications delivery and post implementation maintenance activities
Key Result Areas:
- Conduct development in response to user requirements project involvement or changing technologies.
- Develop information technology solutions making specific determinations about system performance.
- Prepare/verify production transfer documentation.
- Monitor applications to ensure adequate system resources to process at production standards.
- Follow up and coordinate with internal teams for SIT UAT support and Production Rollout.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) arising from production system disruption and gather required information and logs from the system for investigation.
- If required follow up with vendor for resolution and closure of the issue.
- Deploy bug fixes in test environment and perform SIT.
- Get the fix tested by users and take appropriate actions to move the change in Production.
- Coordinate with DBA for reindexing activities as per the system DB requirements.
- Coordinate with associated teams for Security/OS/DB patches in development environment.

- Responsible to design functional solutions to business requirements.
- Prepare and maintain documentation.
- Use effective judgment to weigh different options for achieving better results within appropriate timeframes.
- Highlight any concerns affecting workplace deliverables.
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
- Good knowledge of Payments / Corporate online banking domain
- Ability to work on Unix platform Oracle PLSQL knowledgeSQL server mandatory
- Good knowledge in Core Java with external systems integration like DB/Web services/CRM.
- Good knowledge in Apache/Tom cat or any other web server.
- Good knowledge in J2EE/JRE.
- Good knowledge in client browsers and configurations
- Good Knowledge in Mobility Solutions
- Ability to review understand system documentation.
- Good verbal and written communication including ability to prepare system documentation.
- Ability to interpret solution documentation and identify areas of concern and recommend approach.
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic work environment.
- Computer Science degree or equivalent.
