You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailFinancial Analyst – Tax and Reporting will play a critical role in supporting the financial management of our real estate operations. This role combines expertise in financial modeling, strong analytical capabilities, and in-depth knowledge of UAE tax regulations. Incumbent will be responsible for project feasibility analysis, financial modelling, tax compliance, management reporting, and ensuring accurate forecasting and budgeting. You will also oversee audits and maintain compliance with IFRS standards.
Key Accountability Areas
Project Feasibility Models
Develop and evaluate comprehensive project feasibility models for new and ongoing real estate projects.
Analyze financial and operational metrics to assess project profitability and viability.
Provide insights and recommendations to support investment decisions and optimize project outcomes.
Financial Modelling
Build, update, and maintain dynamic financial models to support business decision-making.
Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to forecast financial outcomes based on market trends, operational changes, and project assumptions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure models align with business goals and strategies.'
Corporate Tax and VAT Compliance
Manage the preparation, submission, and reconciliation of VAT returns in compliance with UAE tax laws.
Monitor regulatory updates related to corporate tax and VAT and ensure timely adaptation to new requirements.
Provide guidance on tax implications of business decisions and assist in minimizing tax liabilities.
Support corporate tax filing processes and ensure documentation readiness for tax audits.
Management Reporting and Variance Analysis
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports with detailed analysis of financial performance.
Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual performance and budgets/forecasts.
Present actionable insights and recommendations to senior management for performance improvement.
Audit Management and IFRS Compliance
Coordinate with external auditors to ensure the timely completion of annual audits.
Manage internal audits and address audit findings with corrective actions.
Provide technical expertise on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and ensure all financial reporting adheres to these standards.
Budgeting and Forecasting
Lead the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and real estate project timelines.
Develop rolling forecasts to provide accurate and up-to-date financial projections.
Analyze budget variances and provide recommendations for cost management and optimization.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems.
Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Professional certification such as CA, CFA, ACCA, or CPA preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, tax compliance, and reporting, preferably in the real estate or construction sectors.
Demonstrated experience with VAT compliance, corporate tax, and filing processes in the UAE.
Hands-on experience with financial modelling, management reporting, and budgeting.
Knowledge & Skills
Proficiency in IFRS and its application in real estate transactions.
Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws, corporate tax regulations, transfer pricing, audit processes and financial modelling.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
Interpersonal & Communication Skills
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
Ability to read analyses and respond to common inquiries.
Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of internal customers and employees.
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team.
