CIVIL INSPECTOR

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Civil Inspector is responsible for ensuring that civil works are executed in compliance with approved drawings specifications standards and local regulations. This role is crucial for maintaining the structural integrity safety and quality of villa and townhouse projects ensuring that the project progresses smoothly and meets client expectations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect civil and structural works onsite including excavation foundations concrete works masonry and structural elements to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor contractor activities to ensure adherence to approved construction methods safety protocols and timelines.
• Verify materials delivered onsite to ensure they meet project requirements and approved submittals.
• Conduct inspections for key milestones including rebar placement formwork installation concrete pours and structural assembly.
• Identify and document nonconformance issues propose corrective actions and follow up to ensure resolution.
• Review and ensure compliance with shop drawings method statements and asbuilt documentation.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports highlighting progress issues and quality observations.
• Coordinate with contractors consultants and stakeholders to address site challenges and ensure effective communication.
• Assist in final inspections snagging and desnagging activities before project handover.
• Support the project team in maintaining accurate records of inspections tests and project documentation.
  

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of UAE experience in civil inspection roles.
• Extensive experience with villa and townhouse projects.
• Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies materials and quality standards.
• Familiarity with UAE building codes local regulations and standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other related software is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail and problemsolving skills.
• Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Background in consulting companies preferably in the GCC.
• Must be locally available in the UAE and able to join immediately.
