Roles and responsibilities
- Develop, monitor, and update project schedules for marine infrastructure projects (e.g., ports, jetties, quay walls).
- Utilize advanced planning tools like Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Plan and allocate manpower, materials, and equipment for marine construction projects.
- Forecast resource needs and align them with project milestones.
- Track project progress against baseline schedules.
- Generate detailed progress reports and dashboards for stakeholders, including ADPC.
- Identify potential delays and provide solutions to mitigate impacts on schedules.
- Work closely with design, construction, and procurement teams to ensure alignment with project schedules.
- Coordinate with marine engineers and contractors to integrate project phases.
- Ensure project schedules comply with client requirements and contractual obligations.
- Identify risks affecting timelines and recommend corrective actions.

- Minimum 10 years of experience in project planning for marine infrastructure.
- At least 5 years of experience in UAE
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications such as PMP or PSP are highly preferred.
- Expertise in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Knowledge of delay analysis methodologies like TIA or Window Analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Design Software: Familiarity with software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools for creating designs and visualizing proposed developments.
- Sustainable Design: Expertise in sustainable urban planning practices, including green building strategies, energy-efficient designs, low-impact development, and ecological preservation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

2. Project Management and Coordination
- Project Leadership: Leading planning projects from concept to completion, including developing work plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensuring the projects meet all objectives.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Working closely with architects, engineers, environmental consultants, government agencies, developers, and community groups to integrate diverse perspectives into the planning process.
- Client Relations: Communicating with clients and stakeholders to ensure their needs and concerns are addressed throughout the planning process. Presenting progress reports, proposals, and final plans to clients and decision-makers.
- Vendor and Contractor Management: Managing external consultants and contractors, overseeing their work, ensuring it aligns with project goals, and making sure work is delivered on time and within budget.
3. Policy Analysis and Development
- Research and Analysis: Conducting research on demographics, market trends, environmental impacts, infrastructure, and other factors that influence planning decisions.
- Policy Advocacy: Advising on and advocating for the development of new planning policies and regulations based on analysis and experience, often to support sustainable or community-centered development.
- Regulatory and Legal Knowledge: Understanding and applying local, state, and federal regulations affecting land development, zoning, environmental protection, and community design.
4. Community Engagement and Stakeholder Management
- Public Engagement: Leading public consultation processes, including organizing community workshops, public meetings, and hearings to gather input and feedback on proposed plans or projects.
- Conflict Resolution: Managing and resolving conflicts between stakeholders (e.g., developers, local residents, governmental bodies), ensuring that all voices are heard and integrated where possible.
- Collaboration with Elected Officials: Working with local government officials, city councils, or planning commissions to present plans, negotiate development proposals, and ensure alignment with community goals.
5. Design and Technical Skills
- Site Planning and Design: Developing site layouts, land-use configurations, and designs for parks, commercial districts, residential areas, or infrastructure projects.
