Job Description
Who we are:
Al Marwan Group is a holding company established in 1978 Al Marwan Group has grown a strong diversified portfolio in Real Estate Development & Management Hospitality General Contracting and Heavy Machinery trading of brand new and used equipment for the Construction Mining Oil and Gas industries.
We are currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated General Accountantto join our team.
Job Duties:
- Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records including ledgers journals and databases.
- Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements on a regular basis or as required by management.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights into the organizations financial performance. Identify areas for improvement or risk mitigation.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts by providing financial information and insights. Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards laws and regulations. Prepare documentation for audits and assist auditors as necessary.
- Process financial transactions including accounts payable accounts receivable payroll and expense reimbursements. Verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Utilize financial software and systems effectively to record transactions generate reports and perform analyses. Recommend improvements or upgrades as needed.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure consistency efficiency and compliance with best practices.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as finance operations and management teams to gather financial information provide analysis and support decisionmaking processes. Communicate financial results and insights effectively.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting finance or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
Experience:
- 2 to 3 years of experience in as General Accountant preferably in the construction industry or a related field.
Other Requirements:
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP systems is desirable.
- Fluent in English Arabic is a plus.
