Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  1. Marketing Strategy Development:

    • Flight Promotions and Campaigns: Develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns that promote flight routes, special offers, and seasonal promotions to target customers. This includes creating compelling messaging to boost ticket sales and increase brand awareness.
    • Target Audience Identification: Identify and segment the target audience based on factors like demographics, travel behavior, and preferences (e.g., business travelers, family vacations, luxury travelers, etc.).
    • Brand Positioning: Ensure that the airline’s flight services are effectively positioned in the market to differentiate the brand from competitors and resonate with consumers' needs.
  2. Campaign Management and Execution:

    • Integrated Marketing Campaigns: Lead the development and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns that may include digital marketing (social media, SEO/SEM, email marketing), traditional advertising (TV, print, radio), and partnerships (e.g., with travel agencies, hotels, etc.).
    • Content Development: Oversee the creation of engaging content such as advertisements, social media posts, email newsletters, blogs, and video campaigns designed to attract and engage travelers.
    • Seasonal and Promotional Offers: Plan and manage promotional campaigns around key travel seasons, holidays, or new route launches to drive customer interest and bookings.
  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Sales and Revenue Teams: Work closely with the sales and revenue management teams to align marketing campaigns with pricing strategies and ensure the flight offerings are marketed effectively based on customer demand.
    • Customer Experience: Collaborate with the customer experience teams to ensure that marketing messages align with the brand’s value proposition and the overall travel experience for customers.
    • Product Development: Work with the product team to gather insights about new flight services, routes, or travel packages and develop marketing strategies to promote these offerings.
    • Agency and Vendor Relationships: Manage relationships with external agencies, travel vendors, and media partners to optimize campaign execution and expand reach.
  4. Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Campaign Performance: Track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns using key performance indicators (KPIs) like conversion rates, return on investment (ROI), customer acquisition cost (CAC), and overall sales figures.
    • Customer Insights: Use data analytics to understand customer behavior, preferences, and travel patterns, adjusting marketing strategies based on these insights.
    • Market Research: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends in the airline industry, customer preferences, and competitor marketing tactics.
    • Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget for flight campaigns, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and maximizing ROI.
  5. Brand Management and Positioning:

    • Consistent Branding: Ensure that all marketing materials are aligned with the airline’s brand voice, values, and visual identity to build a consistent brand experience across all channels.
    • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain long-term customer loyalty through targeted marketing campaigns and personalized travel experiences.
  6. Leadership and Team Management:

    • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance and mentorship to drive team performance and career development.
    • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong communication and collaboration within the marketing team and with other departments across the organization to ensure alignment on goals and objectives.
    • Performance Reviews: Conduct performance evaluations for team members, offering feedback, support, and professional development opportunities.
  7. Innovation and Trends:

    • Emerging Marketing Techniques: Stay up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends, travel technology, and tools to continuously innovate and optimize marketing efforts for flight services.
    • Automation and Technology: Explore new technologies and automation tools that can streamline marketing efforts, such as customer relationship management (CRM) systems, marketing automation platforms, and personalized messaging.

Desired candidate profile

  • Drive business-level vision by providing strategic context to product roadmaps
  • Implement competitive analysis and develop actionable insights on our markets and business trends, and disseminate this knowledge across Agoda to make key decisions
  • Set up operational processes and help our leaders run the business skillfully, which includes clarifying accountability, putting structure and framework, as well as seeing through business-critical success metrics

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative/numerical field; MBA or other advanced technical degree preferred
  • 8+ years’ experience in top-tier management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or strategy/business operations for a fast-growing globally operating tech company
  • Strong analytical abilities, especially with respect to experimental design and analysis
  • Strategic thinking and planning, hands-on mentality
  • Excellent skills in presenting and analyzing data and creating actionable reports
  • Experience in and a passion for projects involving big data and statistical models
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to report and persuade different levels, including senior management
