Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Program Director to join our client’s team in the healthcare sector. The successful candidate will lead, manage, and deliver complex, high-impact programs from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with the strategic objectives of the organization. This is a critical role that requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a proven track record of success in healthcare-related projects or leading complex, high value IT programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT programs and projects, ensuring they meet business objectives and timelines.
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement IT strategies that align with healthcare industry trends and organizational goals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership, clinical staff, and other stakeholders to identify technology needs and drive adoption.
- Budget Management: Manage program budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all programs comply with healthcare regulations, data privacy laws, and industry best practices.
- Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics to assess program performance, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and partners to leverage technology solutions that enhance healthcare delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in IT programme management, with a focus on the healthcare industry.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare technologies, systems, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA).
- Proven track record of leading large-scale IT initiatives from conception to implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering results.
- PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certification is a plus.
