Roles and responsibilities
The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for shaping and executing the Learning and Development strategy in alignment with the organization’s goals. This role plays a key part in cultivating a culture of continuous growth and innovation within Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment.
ROLE PROFILE
- Support the expansion and growth of Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment across the region through tailored Learning and Development initiatives.
- Design, develop, and deliver new training programs and initiatives for the business, while managing the activities of junior Learning and Development team members.
- Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) by collaborating with leadership to identify skills gaps and provide effective solutions to enhance employee competencies.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate training programs that improve employee performance across all levels of the organization, contributing to overall business success.
- Oversee the management of training systems, content, and materials, ensuring they are up-to-date and aligned with business objectives.
- Facilitate ongoing training programs and develop content for departmental heads and management to build leadership and functional expertise.
- Ensure consistency in the quality of training programs, materials, and initiatives across the business.
- Track, report, and analyze the progress of training initiatives, managing vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery within budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in training & development, Education, Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field.
- 6-7 years of experience in HR, with a focus on Learning & Development.
- At least 5 years of experience in managing and leading a skilled team.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and instructional design tools like Articulate 360 and Canva.
- Instructional Design: Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, tools, and methodologies to create effective learning materials and programs.
- Fluent in Arabic: Proficiency in Arabic is required for communication across the region.

- E-Learning Tools: Familiarity with tools such as Articulate, Adobe Captivate, or Canva for creating digital content.
- Analytics Tools: Measuring training effectiveness using data-driven insights.

- Team Leadership: Managing L&D teams and coordinating with trainers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with HR, department heads, and executives.
- Change Management: Supporting employees during organizational transitions.
