1. Fashion and Style Knowledge
- Trend Awareness: Staying up-to-date with the latest fashion trends, designers, and emerging styles.
- Styling Techniques: Knowledge of how to style clothing and accessories for different body types, occasions, and seasons.
- Color Coordination: Understanding which colors work well together and complement clients’ skin tones and personalities.
- Fabric and Materials Knowledge: Understanding different fabrics and materials, their quality, and how they fit and feel when worn.
2. Customer Service
- Personalized Service: Tailoring shopping experiences to meet the unique needs and preferences of each client.
- Communication: Clear and effective communication skills to understand clients' desires and explain options.
- Empathy and Listening: Listening to clients’ needs and concerns, and providing advice in a non-judgmental, understanding way.
- Relationship Building: Building long-term relationships with clients by consistently providing exceptional service.
3. Retail Knowledge
- Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of the products being sold, including details about brands, quality, sizing, and availability.
- Retail Networks: Knowing where to source items for clients, including understanding the best stores, online retailers, and sales channels.
- Sales Skills: Understanding how to upsell or recommend additional items that align with the client’s needs and budget.
4. Organization and Time Management
- Scheduling: Managing appointments and ensuring that clients' shopping trips are well-organized and stress-free.
- Multi-tasking: Handling multiple clients, shopping trips, and tasks (such as returns, alterations, or wardrobe planning) efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring all purchases meet the client’s expectations, including color, size, and fit.
5. Financial Acumen
- Budget Management: Assisting clients in managing their shopping budget while still meeting their fashion needs.
- Cost-Saving Techniques: Helping clients find sales, discounts, or offers to maximize their shopping experience without compromising on style.
- Pricing Knowledge: Understanding the price points of various brands and products to recommend the best value for money.
6. Tech Savviness
- E-commerce Platforms: Familiarity with online shopping platforms and tools to help clients shop virtually or find items online.
- Personal Styling Apps: Knowledge of apps or software used to organize a client’s wardrobe, track outfits, and suggest new purchases.
- Social Media: Using platforms like Instagram or Pinterest to suggest fashion trends or showcase curated looks.
7. Discretion and Professionalism
- Confidentiality: Maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of clients, especially when dealing with personal preferences or budget details.
- Professionalism: Demonstrating professionalism in interactions with clients, store employees, and other stakeholders.
Desired candidate profile
The Personal Shopper will be responsible for establishing, maintaining and growing a portfolio of customers, delivering outstanding sales-driven results while ensuring excellent customer experience and service.
ROLE PROFILE
- Recruit (monthly target) and retain customers for THAT Concept Store.
- Build a relationship with top tier customers in order to strengthen brand and personal Loyalty.
- Identify the needs of the customer and recommend a range of products to choose from in order to arrive at an appropriate buying decision.
- Ensure monthly sales targets are achieved across categories.
- Ensure that sales leads are identified and prioritized as well as create and implement new selling ideas to ensure sales targets are met.
- Work closely with Buying, Planning and Digital Merchandising teams to ensure maximum knowledge of forthcoming stock availability to for customer benefit.
- Providing support to the customer care team to resolve VIP customers' issues as necessary.
- Follow networking strategies in order to develop and enhance client base.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in any related field, preferably in Fashion.
- 3-5 years retail experience of luxury brands.
- At least 3 years of experience as personal shopper/stylist.
- Must have a black book.
- Excellent Communication Skills.
- Fluent English.
