Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Designing promotional materials, packaging, and point-of-sale displays that attract and engage customers.
  • Developing seasonal collections and marketing campaigns that align with brand strategy.
  • Conducting market research and analysis to identify design trends and customer preferences.
  • Ensuring consistency in branding across all visual elements and touchpoints.
  • Presenting design concepts to stakeholders and incorporating feedback to refine ideas.
  • Staying updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies to bring fresh ideas into the design process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, multimedia design, visual communication, Journalism, or related field
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply depending on the portfolio. Preferably with 1- 2 years experience
  • Good understanding of print production processes and digital media requirements
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
  • Good communication skills in English . Arabic language preferred not a mus
  • Creativity and Artistic Vision

    • A strong sense of creativity to develop unique and innovative visual concepts.
    • Understanding of composition, color theory, and visual hierarchy to create aesthetically pleasing designs.
  • Technical Skills

    • Proficiency in design software like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or Sketch, as well as familiarity with digital design tools and resources.
    • Knowledge of web design principles (for digital design) including HTML/CSS or familiarity with UX/UI design principles is often valuable.
  • Attention to Detail

    • Precision in design elements such as alignment, color matching, and spacing.
    • Ensuring that all aspects of a design (typography, imagery, layout) are consistent and aligned with the brand.
  • Communication Skills

    • Ability to communicate design ideas clearly to clients and colleagues.
    • Ability to incorporate client feedback and make revisions while still maintaining the integrity of the design.
  • Time Management

    • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
    • Strong organizational skills to keep track of design drafts, client feedback, and file versions.

Desired candidate profile

  • Design Creation

    • Branding and Identity: Develop logos, color schemes, typography, and other visual elements that define the identity of a company, product, or service.
    • Print Design: Create materials such as brochures, posters, flyers, business cards, and advertisements for print.
    • Web and Digital Design: Design user interfaces (UI) for websites and apps, ensuring visual appeal and usability. This can include designing icons, buttons, and other web elements.
    • Packaging Design: Designing product packaging that aligns with branding and stands out on the shelf.
    • Illustrations: Create custom illustrations for marketing materials, book covers, or other media.
  • Concept Development

    • Client Consultation: Work closely with clients to understand their needs, goals, and target audience.
    • Conceptualization: Develop design concepts and proposals for clients, based on their brief and objectives.
    • Feedback Integration: Present initial designs to clients, receive feedback, and make revisions to ensure the final product meets expectations.
  • Software Proficiency

    • Use design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch, Figma, and other design tools to create, edit, and refine designs.
    • Some graphic designers may also use 3D modeling software, motion graphics tools, or web design platforms depending on their area of focus.
  • Layout and Typography

    • Layout Design: Organize visual elements on a page or screen to ensure a clear and visually appealing composition.
    • Typography: Choose and manipulate typefaces to ensure readability and consistency with the overall design style.
  • Collaboration

    • Teamwork: Work alongside other designers, marketers, writers, and developers to execute larger projects, like campaigns, websites, or brand redesigns.
    • Vendor Coordination: Work with print shops, photographers, illustrators, or other external vendors to bring designs to life.
  • File Management and Production

    • File Preparation: Prepare design files for printing or digital delivery, ensuring proper resolution, color settings, and file formats.
    • Proofing: Proof designs to ensure accuracy before going to print or being published online.
