Roles and responsibilities
- Identifying planning scope, major constraints, and contract requirements alongside identifying major quantities and factors affecting the programme.
- Apply expertise in 3D/4D planning software and PowerBi.
- Skillfully integrate inputs to produce outcomes of high standards for the project.
- Integrate 3D models, understand spatial arrangements, and efficiently navigate software.
- Manage the file system, incorporating 3D models, objects, labels, legends, and metadata as required.
- Leverage expertise to validate program sequences using 4D software. Link activities with 3D objects in an ordered and structured manner, displaying precise durations and appearance types to satisfy twin model requirements.
- Modify the program to include necessary details for animation purposes, and monitor, gather, and incorporate accurate progress information into visual planning reports for periodic updates.
- Leverage expertise to proficiently manage 4D and video files.
- Produce, distribute, validate, and modify high-standard professional animation presentations, ensuring optimal project impact and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensuring the 4D outcome is functionally compliant with BIM requirements, business management systems and project planning procedures.
- Produce high-quality animations to facilitate description of complex methodologies and processes in a visual way to inform punctually or use commercially, e.g., tenders or client presentations. Use of the required 4D animation production and rendering software.
- Contribute to set up appropriate visual program to assist the Project Team to timely deliver projects and improve productivity, performance, and safety of projects.
Specific Experience, Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge.
- Advanced knowledge of project management tools and software (like Excel, MS Project, Primavera P6 or ASTA).
- Competent in 3D and spatial representation: able to produce 3D models with modelling software like Sketch Up, CAD, Revit, MicroStation, etc.
- Competent in PowerBi.
- Competent in 4D planning, able to integrate 3D models with programs (time), creating a project digital twin. Able to produce periodic project reporting in 4D enhancing communication of the plan. User of 4D software: Synchro, Furzor, Navisworks, etc.
- Competent in 4D animations: able to produce advanced animations to facilitate explanation of complex methodologies and processes for bespoke internal or commercial use. Able to integrate 4D outcomes with video editing tools to produce high standard presentations.
Desired candidate profile
1. Technical Expertise
- Building Information Modeling (BIM): Proficiency with BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360) and the integration of time-based data into the 3D models. The ability to create and manipulate models for 4D visualization.
- Project Scheduling: Deep understanding of project scheduling and construction timelines, often using software like Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or Synchro to develop and manage schedules in conjunction with BIM.
- 3D Modeling and Simulation: Familiarity with 3D modeling software to visualize construction processes and integrate them with time-related data, ensuring the accurate representation of project stages.
- Construction Processes: Knowledge of construction techniques, methods, and workflows to ensure that the simulation represents the actual construction process effectively.
- Data Integration: Ability to link schedules (e.g., task durations, sequencing) with a 3D model, ensuring that time is synchronized with construction tasks.
2. Project Management
- Construction Planning: Experience in developing and managing construction project plans, including task sequencing, resource allocation, and milestone tracking.
- Risk Management: Identifying potential risks in the construction process through the 4D model, such as conflicts, delays, and resource constraints, and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Resource Planning: Managing resources (labor, materials, equipment) in the context of the overall schedule and ensuring their efficient use throughout the construction process.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Working with multiple teams including architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure the 4D model reflects accurate, up-to-date information.
3. Communication and Reporting
- Visualization and Presentation: Creating clear, impactful visualizations that effectively communicate project timelines and construction progress to stakeholders, clients, and team members.
- Stakeholder Communication: Presenting 4D simulations to clients, investors, and contractors to explain the construction process, timelines, and potential challenges.
- Reporting: Providing regular reports and updates based on the 4D model, showing progress and any adjustments needed to the project plan.
