Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Technician to perform a wide range of laboratory procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience with technical laboratory equipment, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to work independently while ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sample Handling: Receive, label, and analyze various samples, including blood, toxic substances, and tissue samples.
- Testing & Analysis: Design and execute laboratory tests following standard procedures, document observations, and interpret findings.
- Experimentation: Conduct experiments under controlled conditions to verify or refute hypotheses using advanced scientific methods.
- Chemical & Equipment Management: Organize and safely store chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Data Recording: Accurately document all data and results, both in physical records and electronic databases, ensuring precision and accountability.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, while also supporting the procurement of necessary laboratory supplies.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to health, safety, and environmental guidelines, ensuring a clean and hazard-free laboratory environment.
Requirements & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Lab Technician or in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with both electrical and non-electrical laboratory equipment, as well as knowledge of handling potentially hazardous substances (flammable liquids, biohazards, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of QHSE Systems (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) and laboratory best practices.
- Excellent physical condition and endurance to meet the physical demands of the role.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and experience working with laboratory database systems.
- Ability to work independently and remain composed under pressure.
- Valid laboratory technician license is required.
- Educational Background: Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field is essential.
