Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Draughtsman to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans based on the specifications provided by engineers and architects. The Draughtsman will play a key role in ensuring that all drawings are accurate complete and adhere to the required standards.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Create detailed technical drawings and plans using computeraided design (CAD) software.
- Review and modify drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure timely completion of drawings.
- Maintain drawing files and documentation for reference and recordkeeping purposes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Draughtsman or similar role in the engineering industry.
- Proficiency in using CAD software and other drafting tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of engineering standards and practices.
Strong hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and Navisworks. Proficiency in creating 3D models, Piping Isometrics, GA drawings, and Piping Layouts. In-depth knowledge of Piping BOM, MTO, and Piping Material Specifications (PMS). Familiarity with piping support systems and basic understanding of stress analysis. Solid understanding of P&ID for boilers and power plants. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interactions. Strong leadership abilities to manage and guide a team towards successful project completion.
Education
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) or Bachelor s Degree in Engineering (BE) with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the design stream.
