Roles and responsibilities
- Develops designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, and project models as per specific discipline requirement. Works on drawings under the supervision of an experienced Engineer.
- Assists with the design content by applying both design and technical knowledge to ensure high-quality outputs under project timelines.
- Under Supervision, performs work following the agreed-upon budget and schedule.
- Uses computer software as a tool for solving fundamental engineering problems.
- Coordinates with other discipline Engineers as applicable for the continuity of the design process.
- Participates in design progress and coordination meetings.
- Actively seeks information, opportunities to participate and contribute, and develops efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Contributes by solving problems and applying experience or theoretical knowledge to atypical assignments.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus/interest in one or more of the following subjects from an accredited University
- Geotechnical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Engineering Geology
- Geological Engineering
- Candidates must be 2024, 2023 or 2022 graduates
- Successful applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 2.7 or 2:1 (or equivalent) and above.

- Construction: Providing site assessments and foundation design for commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.
- Infrastructure: Working on large-scale infrastructure projects, such as highways, bridges, dams, tunnels, and airports.
- Oil and Gas: Assessing soil and rock stability for drilling rigs, pipelines, and offshore platforms.
- Mining: Conducting geotechnical assessments for open-pit and underground mining operations, including slope stability and waste management.
- Environmental Engineering: Dealing with contaminated sites, landfills, and groundwater management.
- Coastal and Marine Engineering: Designing foundations and structures for offshore platforms, harbors, and coastal defenses.
- Renewable Energy: Supporting the design of foundations for wind turbines and other renewable energy infrastructure.
- Disaster Recovery and Mitigation: Providing geotechnical input in areas prone to landslides, earthquakes, and other natural disasters.
