Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Public Relations Specialist to join our team a leading crypto media platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the cryptocurrency media and blockchain media space; excellent media relations skills and the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with industry stakeholders and the public. You will be responsible for managing our companys public image building relationships with the media and creating communication strategies that elevate our brand in the rapidly evolving world of cryptocurrency.

• Key Responsibilities:

• Media Relations:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key journalists influencers and media outlets within the cryptocurrency blockchain and fintech industries.

• Proactively pitch stories press releases and thought leadership content to relevant media outlets.
• Respond to media inquiries and ensure accurate and timely coverage of the company and its initiatives.

• Content Development:

• Craft press releases media kits blog posts and articles that communicate the companys mission news and key developments.

• Collaborate with the content and marketing teams to ensure messaging is aligned across all platforms.

• Develop and manage the companys thought leadership strategy by identifying speaking opportunities interviews and events for company executives.

• Crisis Management:

• Manage the companys reputation and public image during both proactive and reactive situations.

• Prepare and execute communication strategies to handle crises including drafting statements coordinating media responses and managing internal communications.

• Event Management and Participation:

• Identify and facilitate opportunities for the companys presence at crypto/blockchain industry events conferences and panels.
• Assist in preparing executives for public speaking engagements including creating talking points and briefing documents.
• Coordinate media coverage for events the company sponsors or participates in.

• Social Media & Digital PR:

• Work closely with the social media team to align PR efforts with social media strategies ensuring consistent brand voice and messaging across all digital platforms.
• Monitor media coverage and public sentiment about the company providing analysis and reports on PR campaign effectiveness.

• Internal Communications:

• Support internal communications efforts to ensure employees are informed and aligned with the companys vision and goals.
• Assist in creating and distributing newsletters memos or internal announcements regarding company updates.

• Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Public Relations Communications Journalism Marketing or a related field.
• 3 years of public relations experience preferably within the cryptocurrency fintech or technology sectors.
• Proven track record in developing media strategies and securing positive media coverage.
• Exceptional writing editing and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of the cryptocurrency landscape including blockchain technology DeFi NFTs and industry trends.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with media monitoring and PR tools (e.g. Cision Meltwater) and social media platforms.

• Preferred Qualifications:

• Existing relationships with crypto or blockchainfocused media outlets.
• Experience working in a fastpaced startup or media environment.
• Knowledge of SEO and content marketing best practices.
