Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Product Owner to lead the development and enhancement of our mobile app. As a Product Owner, you will be the driving force behind the product’s vision, strategy, and execution, ensuring that our app delivers exceptional value to users while meeting business objectives with complete P&L responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Product Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for the mobile app, aligning with company goals and market needs.
  • Roadmap Development: Develop and manage the product roadmap, setting clear priorities and milestones for feature releases and enhancements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders including engineering, design, marketing, and customer support to gather requirements, set expectations, and ensure alignment.
  • User-Cantered Design: Advocate for the user experience, using insights from customer feedback, market research, and analytics to drive product decisions and improvements.
  • Backlog Management: Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that the development team has a clear understanding of user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Agile Methodology: Lead Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the development team.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and user metrics to assess the app’s performance and identify areas for optimization.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges and ensure successful product delivery.
  • Revenue Delivery: Setting your team's goals, success metrics, and roadmap to align with ARIE’s mission and drive maximum impact based on data analysis, market research, and company strategy and own the overall P&L for the app business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within the fintech or mobile app industry.
  • Proven track record of managing the full product lifecycle from concept to launch.
  • Strong understanding of financial technologies, mobile app development, and user experience principles.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Review and Feedback: Reviewing completed work during sprint reviews and providing feedback to guide future development.

  • Market Research: Conducting market research to understand user needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.

  • Collaboration with Teams: Working closely with design, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure successful product delivery.

  • Performance Tracking: Monitoring product performance and user feedback post-launch to identify areas for improvement.
