We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced Customs Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all imports and exports comply with customs regulations and that goods are cleared through customs efficiently. The Customs Executive will liaise with clients government agencies and transportation companies to facilitate the smooth clearance of goods.
- Prepare and process import and export doentation according to customs regulations laws and procedures.
- Clify goods according to tariff coding systems.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations related to import and export activities.
- Provide clients with guidance on customs regulations duties and taxes.
- Verify the accuracy of shipment doentation including bills of lading packing lists and invoices.
- Prepare and submit necessary doentation to customs and other regulatory agencies.
What youll need to succeed:
- Licensed Customs Broker certification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in customs brokerage or a related field.
- Indepth knowledge of customs laws regulations and procedures.
- Strong ytical and problemsolving ss.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal ss.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications such as Microsoft Office and customs brokerage systems
