Mason Worker Masonry Worker

Description: The Company of our client is expanding into new projects. Therefore our client is looking to employ sed and experienced professionals. We are looking for a sed and experienced Mason Worker to join a construction team of our client. The Mason will be responsible for constructing repairing and maintaining various structures such as walls floors fireplaces and other masonry projects using materials like bricks concrete and stones. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of masonry techniques and the ability to work with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Lay bricks concrete blocks stones and other masonry materials to construct or repair walls arches partitions and other structures.

Mix mortar or grout and spread it as needed to serve as a base for setting bricks and stones.

Shape and trim bricks blocks or stones to fit using tools such as hammers and chisels.

Construct structures like walkways patios and retaining walls.

Build and maintain decorative stonework fireplaces and other custom masonry features.

Install reinforcing materials such as rebar wire mesh and anchors to ensure ility and durability.

Read and interpret blueprints drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.

Collaborate with project managers architects and other trades to ensure work is completed according to design and safety standards.

Inspect and repair existing masonry structures identifying areas needing restoration or replacement.

Ensure all work meets building codes and safety regulations.

Requirements

Qualifications and Ss

Proven experience as a Mason Worker or in a similar masonry role.

Proficiency in working with various masonry tools including trowels levels and plumb lines.

Strong understanding of masonry techniques and materials such as brick stone and concrete.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical plans.

Excellent handeye coordination attention to detail and problemsolving ss.

Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Good communication ss and the ability to work well in a team setting.

Education and Certifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of an apprenticeship program or technical training in masonry is preferred.

Relevant certifications in masonry work or construction safety are a plus.

Work Environment

Ability to work on construction sites both indoors and outdoors.

May require heavy lifting standing for extended periods and working in various conditions.
