Job Description
- Curriculum Development: Design and implement engaging physical education curricula that meet state and national standards.
- Instruction: Teach a variety of physical activities including sports fitness and health education tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
- Assessment: Evaluate student progress through tests observations and assessments to monitor fitness levels and skill development.
- Safety: Ensure a safe environment by teaching proper techniques enforcing safety rules and conducting regular equipment checks.
- Motivation: Inspire and motivate students to participate in physical activities and foster a lifelong appreciation for fitness.
- Collaboration: Work with other teachers coaches and staff to promote a holistic approach to student health and wellness.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with students and parents regarding progress participation and any concerns.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on new teaching methods sports and health trends through workshops and professional development opportunities.
- Extracurricular Activities: Organize and oversee extracurricular activities such as sports teams fitness clubs or health awareness events.

Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Physical Education Kinesiology or a related field.
- Valid state teaching certification or licensure in physical education.
- First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
- 13 years experience in teaching physical education at the elementary middle or high school level (preferred).
- Involvement in coaching or leading extracurricular sports or fitness activities (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students parents and staff.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans and adapt to varying skill levels.
- Knowledge of various sports fitness activities and health education topics.Proficient in classroom management techniques and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Passion for physical fitness and promoting healthy lifestyles.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to participate in physical activities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Capability to demonstrate physical activities and engage in active supervision.
- Ability to lift and move sports equipment as needed.
