Job Description

As a Marine Mammal Specialist 3, you will play a key role in maintaining the welfare of our marine mammals while ensuring guests have a memorable experience. You will use your knowledge of animal behavior and training techniques to support the Five Pillars of Animal Welfare, focusing on nutrition, environment, health, behavior, and mental well-being. Your responsibilities include daily animal observations, administering medications, preparing diets, maintaining habitats, and assisting in educational presentations. You will also guide junior team members and foster a positive team environment.

About You

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in marine mammal training and a strong understanding of operant conditioning and animal husbandry techniques. A high school diploma is required, and a degree in Zoology, Psychology, or Marine Biology is an advantage. You must be adaptable to varying schedules, pass an annual swim test, and work well in a team environment, demonstrating strong communication skills and enthusiasm for animal care.
