Lead Engineer - RD Process

• Lead the design, development, and execution of chemical engineering research and development projects focused on decarbonization of smelting processes.
• Evaluate, propose, and guide the implementation of cutting-edge technologies aimed at reducing or eliminating GHG emissions in smelting operations.
• Manage and oversee the demonstration of new technologies and processes, ensuring they meet the strategic objectives and sustainability goals of EGA.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate decarbonization technologies into existing operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
• Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate research findings, project status, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in decarbonization technologies, and environmental regulations to ensure EGA remains at the forefront of sustainable smelting practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering from a recognized institution/university.

Minimum Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a Process Engineer.
• At least 2 years of experience in a related primary aluminium function (e.g., fume treatment, environment, midstream operations, etc.).
• Proven track record in managing continuous improvement projects.
