GIS Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain GIS databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Create, update, and manage GIS maps and spatial data layers.
• Integrate GIS with other project management and construction systems.
• Conduct spatial analysis and modeling to support project planning and decision-making.
• Analyze geographic relationships among varying types of data.
• Provide detailed reports and visualizations based on spatial data.
• Support engineering and construction teams with GIS-related tasks.
• Assist in the development of site plans, environmental impact assessments, and feasibility studies.
• Provide technical support and training to project staff on GIS applications and tools.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of GIS data through rigorous validation and verification processes.
• Implement and maintain data standards and protocols.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to gather and disseminate GIS data.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Advanced degrees or certifications in GIS are advantageous.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with GIS in an engineering or construction environment.
• Proven experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar.
• Proficiency in GIS software and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Proficiency in database management and spatial analysis techniques.
