Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Management:

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Monitor and track project progress, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation plans as necessary.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including internal teams, vendors, and external partners.
  • Conduct regular status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams to ensure alignment and understanding.

System Implementation:

  • Lead the implementation of procurement systems, including software selection, customization, and integration.
  • Coordinate with IT and procurement teams to ensure seamless deployment and operation of new systems.
  • Oversee data migration and system testing to ensure accuracy and functionality.

Process Improvement:

  • Analyze current procurement processes and identify opportunities for improvement through technology.
  • Develop and implement best practices for procurement system use and maintenance.
  • Provide training and support to users to maximize system adoption and efficiency.

Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships with software vendors and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management, with overall experience of 10 years with a focus on procurement system implementation.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
  • Experience with procurement software (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement Cloud, Coupa) and ERP systems.

Skills:

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello).
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and regulatory requirements.
