Fashion Designer - Al Nexzit Consults

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Research fashion trends consumer preferences and market demands to identify opportunities for new design concepts and product innovations.
2. Develop design concepts sketches mood boards and storyboards to communicate creative ideas themes colors fabrics and silhouettes for each collection or product line.
3. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including merchandisers marketers and production managers to ensure alignment of design concepts with brand strategy target audience and business objectives.
4. Create detailed technical drawings specifications and tech packs for garment construction providing clear instructions and measurements for patternmakers sample makers and manufacturers.
5. Source and select fabrics trims embellishments and materials for prototypes and samples coordinating with suppliers vendors and manufacturers to procure quality materials within budget and timeline constraints.
6. Oversee the sample development process conducting fittings adjustments and revisions to ensure accurate garment fit drape and proportion according to design specifications.

Requirements:

1. Bachelors degree in Fashion Design Fashion Merchandising or related field; additional education or certification in fashion design may be preferred.
2. Proven experience as a Fashion Designer or in a similar role with a portfolio showcasing original designs and completed collections demonstrating creativity innovation and technical proficiency.
3. Proficiency in design software and computeraided design (CAD) tools such as Adobe Illustrator Photoshop and CorelDRAW with the ability to create digital sketches technical drawings and fashion illustrations.
