Heavy Equipment Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and graders, to complete various construction tasks.
• Safely and efficiently maneuver equipment on job sites and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
• Excavate and grade land to prepare for construction projects, including digging trenches and leveling surfaces.
• Load and unload materials, such as dirt, rocks, and debris, using machinery attachments.
• Assist in the construction of roads, buildings, and other structures by operating equipment in a precise and controlled manner.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and according to specifications.
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of equipment maintenance.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks in a construction environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
• Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends, as needed.
